1) Changes to Design Architect Userware:
a) The external variable symbol_property_list defined in da_window.ample has
been renamed digital_property_list.
b) A new external variable mt_sheet_numbering can be used to specify how to
number schematic sheets. If you need the reports created by the "create
report" userware to use your own sheet numbering set mt_sheet_numbering
to the property name used for the actual sheet numbering:
mt_sheet_numbering = "SHEET_NUM";
c) Every library palettes will now have scroll bars displayed automatically.
d) The select by property now accepts UNIX wildcard selection. This was
done by MGC and is supplied as is.
e) The default back-annotation name for simulation viewpoints is now sim_da
instead of default.
f) Strokes have been defined for vertical and horizontal flipping. The
strokes are UP-DOWN or DOWN-UP and LEFT-RIGHT or RIGHT-LEFT.
g) Panning can now be defined as a single click or double click using the
middle mouse button. The default is to double click to pan.
h) A new POWER_PINS property format is now available to display the power
pins. Instead of using the POWER_PINS property with all pins displayed,
the POWER_PINS property can be defined as an expression whose value will
be the concatenation of multiple POWER_PINSx properties.
2) Changes to Design Manager:
a) A new select retargetable libraries has been added to the configuration
window to select all retargetable libraries (defined by -t LIBRARY in
the location map) automatically.
b) A new retarget libraries has been added to the configuration window to
retarget all retargetable libraries (defined by -t LIBRARY in the
location map) automatically to the specified library.

Please note the following changes and new features for the A.3-F release:
1) The userware has been simplified in order to provide the user with fewer
options and menus.
Be careful as the userware is not fully backward compatible and might not be
useable in A.2-F or previous versions.
2) New environment variables:
a) MT_UW_STATUS FULL | CAD | SIM | LMS
% setenv MT_UW_STATUS FULL
This will let you access all menus from the Mt_da Personality Module.
This is the default option.
% setenv MT_UW_STATUS CAD
This will let you access only the menus that relate to PCB Design.
Use this option if you're using Design Architect for PCB design and
do not require the Simulation options of the Mt_da Personality Module.
% setenv MT_UW_STATUS SIM
This will let you access only the menus that relate to ASIC/FPGA Design.
Use this option if you're using Design Architect for ASIC/FPGA design and
do not require the PCB options of the Mt_da Personality Module.
% setenv MT_UW_STATUS LMS
This will let you access only the menus that relate to LMS. Use this
option if you're using DA LMS.
b) MT_BPL_STATUS FULL | NONE
% setenv MT_BPL_STATUS FULL
Use this if you want your symbols to be compatible with the BPL library.
3) Changes to Design Architect Userware:
a) The LMBS2 (Shift Left Mouse Button Double Click) is now defined to
display the modify properties dialog box. This applies to instances,
nets, properties and text.
The LMBC2 (Control Left Mouse Button Double Click) is now defined to
display the change the symbol view dialog box.
b) The strokes $stroke_456 and $stroke_654 (close window) have been removed.
The MMB (Middle Mouse Button) is now defined to do a $view_centered
instead of just activating the window.
If you still wish to use those to close the active window just redefine
the strokes in your own Personality Module.
c) The following 3 functions have been removed:
mt_get_library_wrapper (use mt_choose_symbol_wrapper)
mt_add_discrete_symbol_wrapper (use mt_add_or_replace_instance)
mt_get_design_lib_path (use mt_get_design_path(@design_lib))
Please change your own userware/palette accordingly.
d) Rename all the da_session.startup files to da_session.dofile in your
own Personality Modules.
e) If the " Sheet Borders" item under the Edit pulldown in the
Schematic editor does not appear anymore you might need to add to your
dofile <$CUST_HOME>/userware//userware/default/schematic.dofile
the following line:
$insert_menu_item($menu_context_item("($in_edit_mode)", " Sheet Borders",,,, "_setup_popup"),, "sheet_edit_pulldown", @before, "Update");
f) The Design-Wide Edits "create report" userware has been changed and takes
much longer to sort the specified reports. This will be fixed in A.4-F.
It has a new sort option called zone which you can use to get the zone
location of all instances on your schematic sheets. The zone will be of
one of XY-S, YX-S, S-XY or S-YX. X being the X axis label (number ie 3),
Y being the Y axis label (letter ie D) and S being the sheet number.
Zone calculation will be done according to the BLOCK, CORNER (TL),
XZONES (12) and YZONES (8) properties on your schematic sheets. If the
BLOCK property is missing the border will be defined by the sheet extent.
Refer to the SRP User's and Reference Manual for more information on
sheet zone numbering.
4) New Personality Modules:
a) An lmc_da Personality Module has been added and provides an option to
change the timing version of a component without having to display the
LMC Palette.
Include this Personality Module if you're using the LMC library.
b) An accuparts_da Personality Module has been added and provides an access
to some utilities that were be accessed through the Analog Libraries
Palette. It is now possible to change/edit/view models and variants by
using the main popup menus.
Include this Personality Module if you're using the Accuparts library.
5) Changes to PCB Userware:
a) The breakout option in Librarian and Layout have been removed since it is
now fully supported by Librarian and Layout.
b) Librarian now supports multiple COMPONENT_INSERT_CENTER attributes as
well as the COMPONENT_INSERT_ANGLE attribute. Those will be used in
Layout and FabLink when generating the component center location file
used for pick and place.
c) The "create component center location" function in Layout and FabLink
does not use the cloc_file anymore. Geometries must have the attribute
COMPONENT_INSERT_CENTER specified in order to locate the geometric center
of the geometries. The output file is now called component_location and
is still located in the mfg directory.
6) Changes to the shell commands:
a) The create_mgc_library_uw command has been combined with the
create_library_uw command. Use create_library_uw -name MGC instead of
create_mgc_library_uw.
b) The create_property_list command can now create property_list for all the
components in a library as well as individual components.
c) A new source_map command has been added and will create environment
variables from the location map.
To use it, just type "source $MT_HOME/bin/source_map".
