PCB Userware

This section provides information about the userware associated with the PCB applications.

The $MT_HOME/userware/pcb_base directory has a number of functions common to all PCB applications, and provides as well, default templates for the layer_file and pkg.config files that can be used to update the $MGC_HOME/pkgs/pcb_base/data directory. This means that, whenever the $MGC_HOME tree is updated, you can redefine the default layer_file and pkg.config files automatically according to your company standards.

The install_userware shell command will copy those templates to the specified idea tree automatically. A preview option is provided to preview which files will be updated in the idea tree.
